No food service in the park: you need to plan a picnic! The environment is desert-like, temperatures can easily reach 40°C in the middle of summer. The air is dry, the brightness is intense, and there is very little shade (except under the arches!). There is no shuttle service serving the park or certain viewpoints as is offered or required in some parks, it is really essential to have your own vehicle.

Arches can be visited very well in a single day, but don't hesitate to stay a second day to make the most of the park and the hikes, if your schedule allows. We were amazed by the natural beauty and grandeur of the arches. It’s a true favorite for us!

Nestled in the wild backcountry of Utah, Arches National Park is a gem of nature. With over 2,000 natural arches measuring between 90 cm and 91 m wide, sculpted by time and the elements, this park offers a breathtaking spectacle that will amaze you during your visit. You won't find anywhere else on the planet such a high concentration of arches in one place. They are the result of millions of years of erosion by wind, freeze, water, and extreme temperatures. Its spectacular rock formations make it one of the jewels of the American West.
