Mirror Lake is a small lake fed by snowmelt and the nearby Tenaya River. It gets its name from the reflection of the surrounding mountains, including the famous Half Dome, on its crystalline surface. Unfortunately, this lake is not permanent and begins to dry up as summer approaches, eventually disappearing completely.

If you are looking for a family walk that is both short and easy, while offering spectacular views, then Mirror Lake is the perfect place for you. Be careful, as the lake is only visible in spring and early summer.
