The trailhead is located at the end of Yosemite Valley. A convenient option is to park your car in one of the available parking lots on-site and then take the shuttle, which will drop you off just 100 meters from the start of the hiking trail.

The Mist Trail can be difficult in some areas. Indeed, the trail can be wet and slippery, especially in spring and early summer when the waterfalls are at their peak. You may find yourself completely soaked by the waterfalls that drench the trails. I recommend wearing appropriate hiking shoes. (option 1: 11 km round trip | 4h | D+600m | Difficult) (option 2: combine the Mist Trail and John Muir Trail | 7h | Difficult)

The Mist Trail is one of the most popular hiking trails in the park. This steep trail follows the Merced River, starting at Happy Isles in Yosemite Valley, passing by Vernal Fall and Emerald Pool, and arriving at Nevada Fall.

On this trail, you can see two of the most beautiful waterfalls in the park. The first is Vernal Fall, which is 97 meters high. After a somewhat challenging hike, you can reach the top of this waterfall and enjoy a wonderful view of the valley. If you continue your hike, you will arrive at Nevada Fall, almost twice as high at 181 meters. It’s a breathtaking sight!
