A rich archaeological collection, notably the Tomb of the Athlete: an important historical and artistic discovery, one of the most monumental found in the region of Ugento in 1970 during construction work. It is a semi-chamber tomb embedded in the clay embankment with a double-pitched roof; inside, the walls are decorated with patterns of red and blue festoons, with a series of garlands from which groups of wavy ribbons and small animals hang down.
