If you have time, go back there at least once. The first impression is never good. You see fewer things when you are rushed by time and you look more through the camera lens than with your eyes. This place is beautiful, and now that we are far from it, I realize how much I miss the jungle.

It is closed in the rainy season and you will never be able to camp for free in the National Park. So plan to start the crossing relatively early.

The place is quiet and conducive to encountering many tropical birds. We crossed paths with a cassowary and its baby! We were impressed by its size and colors! It is said to be one of the last prehistoric birds in the world. It stands over one meter twenty tall and has sharp claws as long as a finger... It is advised everywhere in the Daintree not to walk around with food. They are attracted by good smells and can attack... But we were lucky because we saw them while we were in the car!

We also strolled quite a bit on the beautiful beaches of the National Park. Unfortunately, it’s like everything in Australia… You can’t swim there because of the crocodiles. It’s one of those dangerous things, so to speak! But aside from those points, the paths were well-maintained, so there was no chance of getting hurt!
