Preserved in the reef rock for over 125 million years are the footprints of long-extinct dinosaurs, along with some plant fossils, making it one of the best paleontological sites in the world.

It was not easy to do it since it depends on the tide and there are no indications to find them. However, note that you can use the MapsMe app to help you.

When we learned that it was possible to see dinosaur footprints in Broome, we did not hesitate for a second and made our way to the Gantheaume Point rock formation to try to spot them.

We fulfilled one of my dreams... to go for a ride on a camel along Gantheaume Point beach! We loved it! Our friend was named Spartacus! There were two of us on Spartacus's back, but it was better for chatting during the ride. We chose the Sundowner Camel Tours agency. There are several, but this one spoke to us more. We really liked the price (45 AUD for a 30-minute ride) and also the fact that Steve (same name, haha!) was the first person to cross Alice Springs alone on a camel to Birdsville in Queensland. His agency has been around for 25 years! He knows camels and he is an adventurer before being a businessman. And that is really better than paying for a camel tour from an agency that knows nothing about it. It’s better for the animal, but also for the visitors.
