There is no visit to Sydney without passing by the Harbour Bridge! This bridge is quite recent and dates back to the beginning of the century. When it was built, it was a great architectural feat. It is the widest bridge in the world (50m). And it is so imposing that it is the origin of a famous Australian expression “sydneysider,” translated as “to paint the bridge,” which means “to do a never-ending task.” And it's an understatement since every section of the bridge requires 30,000 liters of paint.

It has become very important for the city since it quickly connects the northern suburbs to the city center. Without it, there are no less than 20 km of detours to make! However, be careful about the cost! Using this bridge is toll-based, and you will have to pay the bill on the Myrta website! Head to the Rocks from Argyle Street to climb the stairs and already enjoy a superb view of the river, the opera, and the city. If you wish to climb higher, you will need to pay $19 to go to the Pylon Lookout.
