There is also a giant Fig tree to discover and its three volcanic craters along the way. In short, in a good day, or even several excursions, you won't be able to admire all the beauty of the site.

Lake Tinaroo is an artificial lake created in the mid-twentieth century. It supplies water and energy to the entire region and also offers many activities. It is, for example, known for its barramundi fishing, its 4x4 tour of the lake to discover the surrounding wildlife and its various landscapes (jungle, desert, and a pine forest!).

Unlike Lake Eacham and Lake Barrine, Lake Tinaroo is not recommended for swimming. It is home to some freshwater crocodiles. While they are described as "harmless" to humans, the signs remain discouraging since a crocodile, even if not dangerous, can attack even if it is not for feeding.
