Civita District

This neighborhood of the historic center of Vico del Gargano is the oldest core, mentioned as early as 970. It is enclosed within the city walls, with their fourteen watchtowers: it is no coincidence that Vico del Gargano has entered the circuit of the "most beautiful villages in Italy."

You can admire chimneys, gateways, sculptures, and even staircases carved directly into the rock. Among small arches and domes, the district is dominated by the castle and the Collegiata dell'Assunta.
