The baths of Alhama in Granada are not our favorites. When we were there, it was indeed a Sunday, and there were a lot of people. We had to wait in line and take our turn. But since the water was really very hot, we couldn't stand to stay more than ten minutes, and other people took our place... so well... waiting a long time for about ten minutes is not really great, especially when we are crammed together.

If it's too hot to enjoy swimming in the summer, you can also settle for the river. It runs through the entire village in beautiful gorges and has secluded access points for swimming in the shade.

It is also possible to go to the paid baths at the Balneario de Alhama de Granada just a few steps from the pools. When we were there, they were closed for maintenance. But it seems that they are really spectacular and at a very reasonable price.
