The Parliament building in Canberra, reflected in the water, a symbol of Australian democracy under a blue sky.

Canberra

The capital of Australia is located inland in the southeast of the country. Surrounded by forests, agricultural land, and nature reserves, it is nicknamed the "Bush Capital." On the shores of Lake Burley, you will find Parliament, a massive and surprisingly modern building, and museums including the National Gallery, known for its collections of indigenous art.

It should be noted that the country is very protective of its wildlife and flora. There are many rules governing freedoms in wild spaces and national parks. The capital reflects this trend well. It is green, airy, in stark contrast to other cities in the country like Sydney and Melbourne. In Canberra, you do sports and go to the parks. You even live in the midst of wildlife and flora...

We loved the capital Canberra! The city is beautiful and surrounded by nature! We really appreciated the free access to the culture and history of the country. It's quite unusual to be able to visit everything without spending anything.

The city is large, but unpretentious compared to Melbourne or Sydney. The inhabitants are cheerful and courteous. You feel more like you are in the countryside, which makes it so you don’t really feel like you are in the capital. We recommend taking a tour of the city if you are in Australia. There is a lot to learn about the country and it is only there that you can find answers to your questions. It is also a must if you love nature. There is so much to discover in the surroundings that you will need several days to do it!
